    Chargers Signing Former Eagles Kicker Caleb Sturgis

    The Chargers have added another kicker to their group looking to battle for the starting gig in 2018 The Los Angeles Chargers have signed their second external free agent, this time coming by way of the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles... Caleb Sturgis, as the tweet points out, wasn’t the only kicker visiting with the Chargers. He also will not be the only kicker competing to win the starting spot come the start of the 2018 season. Also on the roster are kickers Roberto Aguayo and Nick Rose. The Chargers’ official site lists Nick Novak on the roster however everywhere else I looked seemed to have him a free agent.
    In 2016, Sturgis’ best year as an NFL kicker, he went 35 for 41 (85.4%) with a long of 55. This type of performance would be a sight for sore eyes after the abysmal season put together by what seemed to be 45 different kickers.
