    Hunter Henry tears ACL; Antonio Gates could return

    Tuesday, during the first day of OTAs for the Los Angeles Chargers, tight end Hunter Henry would suffer an injury. But not just any injury, unfortunately. Per ESPN’s Eric D. Williams, Henry tore the ACL in his right knee. And while it’s likely he seeks a second opinion, there’s almost no way Henry isn’t done for the season. But that does open the door for a return: Antonio Gates. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s certainly a possibility.“With Chargers’ TE Hunter Henry tearing his ACL, Chargers will have to consider bringing back Antonio Gates.”Over two seasons spanning 29 games, Henry has accumulated 81 receptions for 1,057 yards and 12 touchdowns. Obviously, everything was set up for Henry to start at tight end for the Chargers this season. But now that’s not going to happen. The second-rounder is out for the season.
