Chargers could be perfect fit for FA DT Gerald McCoy

Earlier today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they planned on releasing long-time defensive tackle Gerald McCoy after nine seasons. Soon after the news broke, Adam Schefter tweeted out a list of teams that would be good to perfect fits for the coveted free agent, including the Chargers. Recently, the Chargers re-signed Damion Square to provide some more depth at the tackle spot which has widely been noted as one of the weaker positions on the Bolts. After that move was announced, the team released offensive tackle Zachary Crabtree, a former UDFA from last year. This opened up a single spot left on the roster, leaving the team with 89 total players as OTAs get rolling. Many have speculated that the Chargers have one more move to make this offseason. Could they have been playing the long game with McCoy this whole time? Time will tell, but adding McCoy to their defensive interior would vault the position group up to the likes of their secondary in terms of talent and experience.
