We still need a RB IMO. Someone that can run the ball consistently to both spell Gordon on occasion and replace him if Gordon gets hurt.

Kind of laid an egg the last 2 rounds.
Hopefully the first 5 guys can make an impact somewhere. Shouldn't be hard on a 5 win team.

Really perplexing Rd 6 pick as there was really good DT value on the board. And it was obvious how much this team slides when Mebane is not healthy (and he's going into yr 11). Maybe the change to 4-3 base changes things, but DT depth seemed to have value and a need at our 6th.

        But overall a good draft.

Reid and Square did well at different times last season, so there is a 3-man rotation to start off TC, but not much depth for developing or in case of injury. Rochelle is an effort guy and is expected to move inside. Said to be similar to Lawrence Guy. Hmmmm.
          Fighting for Carson...and Wilmington...ity:

Be curious to see if anyone takes Walker (DE, OK) after he quit on his team. He would have been drafted had he not done that.

Sounds like both our 6th and 7th round selections are Coach favorites for their relative newness to their position's. NFL coaches seem to like that. I imagine they see upside and higher moldability if that's a word.

                Los Angeles Chargers logo header
Round 2, pick No. 38 overall: Forrest Lamp, OL, Western Kentucky

Positional value and a loaded draft pushes Forrest Lamp into the second round, but for my money, Lamp is as sure a thing at guard in the NFL as Myles Garrett is at defensive end. Last season, he allowed zero sacks, two hits, and two hurries. That includes 40 pass-blocking snaps against Alabama, where he allowed all of one hit the entire day. Lamp should step in and immediately help the Los Angeles O-line.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

How many years have we been screaming for a draft like this and now after going to la la Land, they pull the trigger...

They needed to get out of the norm I guess. It really feels hopeful now.
