This time next year DaRon Payne will be 21 nearing his 22nd Bday. Vea will be 24. I go with the youth here. I have always been drawn to the younger players that are also considered top prospects. I factor it into my assessment of players. It doesnt mean everything but its a plus imo.
Obviously i like Hurst a lot...even if the film on him take a while to see plays being made due to the amount of attention teams give him, but i think ive settled on Payne as the best fit if we go DT.
Payne
Hurst
Vea
Final answer. And im not a huge Vea guy. I also really like Harrison Phillips.

I was referring to his build. He looks thin. Plus i dont care. I care about production. And trust me Philips produced. Ata high level. Might have been the most disruptive DT against the pass and run. Ive always been about production. Kerrigan. Donald. Just guys who did nothing but produce. I think Phillips will ball. 150 tackles....28 TFL...15 sacks over the past 2 years. Thats a solid 3T if you ask me. His coach today sounded more impressed with him than he was Thomas last year. Im willing to bet he will do well.

Phillips to me is a Hurst light. Not quite as good at rushing the passer, but very solid all around and good vs the run. I think he is a bargain on day 2. I think Bryan is a combine warrior that really didnt produce enough. Does he have enough motor? DL and S are very deep in this draft, so that opens options in rd 1.
Fyi next year DL draft is even more impressive.Last edited by Panamamike; 04-19-2018, 01:01 AM.

IF they went DT, I agree with Fleet's rankings, and I love Payne, as I have said before.
But I've got a feeling it'll be a LB... or James. But like others said... it would be a surprise if James was still there. Especially as pass happy as the league is now. Everyone wants/needs a player like that in the secondary."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
