With Fluker's size, he should be more of a beast run blocking as a Guard. Hopefully he heals up and improves there.

I'm not denying that. It's obvious. At a certain point, it doesn't matter whether a guy can play when...he doesn't ever play. I get it. But I think this is a make or break year for all of these guys. They're trying to see if they can play decently if the club isn't forever snakebit with OL injuries.

Or maybe we can just keep blaming the strength and conditioning guys. That's fun.

I am hoping Pulley turns Fluker into what he should be - a solid backup.

Hardwick's interviews and chats with players, everyone was saying Fluker had been a beast in training camp. Hardwick was saying the DL were saying how much of a challenge it was playing against him in TC. I was hoping for a breakout year for Fluker.

That's what I've always thought. Seems like a perfect match of player and position. Maybe it will happen now that he has some game experience entering this season.

Seems as they both came from Cleveland with common years of 2010-2012, I'd be curious how Browns fans feel about them. Or how the health of the Browns were doing those years.

What else could it be, it just seems to be to common theme of our Chargers to have injuries, and I don't believe in curses. :P

              edit....
I found this, haven't had time to read this and dissect it, but it seems like this might have the answers that I am looking for. (on call at work and am being pulled into the office - will have to see if there is any similarities later)

If the injuries were of the pulled/strained muscle variety, you would have a good point.

I highly doubt you can ever do enough strength and conditioning exercises to keep from getting a lacerated liver, or a broken/sprained ankle...or any of the other injuries that keep popping up.

Fluker was always a bad choice. He has snowshoes for feet. It takes to long for him to move. Not his fault. He has all the heart, all the talent but physical limitations. He was always an awful choice. That choice is on Tommy T, not Fluker

For perspective, the guys taken ahead of him in his draft class, like can't miss Luke Joeckle and Lane Johnson haven't been any better. At least TT didn't trade up to get any of them.

Any word about his actual injury or when he might return?
