As far as carrying a fb on the roster, I don't know if Telesco (who has the final decision on the roster) is more likely to carry extra fbs practice squad or otherwise or if he has a history of doing so with Indy. McCoy hardly used tiny shoulder Hester when he was oc for Denver, and we used Johnson, a TE, as the occasional FB with Reich the last 2 years. Last time Whiz was here, McClain wasn't used all that much either

But we're supposed to be rededicating to the run game to balance the offense this year and get Rivers out the shotgun. The only way that works is with a dedicated FB to run behind. The sometimes FB, sometimes not crap started with NOrv and has NEVER worked for us. We have a thin and fragile WR corps and relying on them for most of our offensive production is likely a giant Fail. We need the reliable running game more than ever this year.
