Welcome Anthony Lynn, the new HC

This looks like its going to happen. Wiz as OC, and Gus Bradley as DC.

Edit... signed to a 4 yr deal.

The Los Angeles Chargers made their first official transaction on Friday, naming Anthony Lynn as the team’s new head coach.

If true, the chargers leave the list of 11 teams that haven't hired a non-white head coach, if that really mattered.

      From wiki:

      Coaching philosophy

Lynn is known for advocating the infamous "Ground and Pound" technique.[11] He likes to run the ball on offense, and keep the defense rested so they can "pound" the opposing team.[12] He provides a strong running game and has exceptional run reads.[13] Offensively, his approach spirals off the idea that the running game should open up opportunities for the passing game.[14] He welcomes his players input and gives them a voice.[15] By simplifying the playbook, Lynn aims to reduce the stress of his players so they can execute with precision.[16] Anthony has coached some of the best running backs in the game and has been the common denominator in some of the greatest rushing offensives.[17]

Former undrafted RB for the Broncos, and Niners. Coaching positions were Special Teams assistant, RB Coach, Asst HC and OC, and Interim HC.

Yep, that all syncs with the little bit I've heard of the guy. And doesn't it all sound like shit we've been screaming for??

I guess we'll see how he does, but he as 13 games experience as an OC and 1 game as an interim HC. Hope all that time as a RB coach got him ready...

Once they heard that they had to keep the existing offensive staff most candidates probably said piss off!

1 more game worth of HC experience and 3 less games of Coordinator experience than the Broncos new HC. Just for some perspective. Not impressed with either hire.

The 'good' news is that if he does bring in a Bradley both of his coordinators have HC experience.

I read that Bradley is being interviewed for our DC vacancy? When was Pagano fired?

I know NOTHING about Lynn, but the "Ground n Pound" and defensive rest sounds kind of inviting. I definitely like the Gus Bradley hire! Other than the terrible news earlier, things seam to be looking up. Now, if they will fix the lines in one way or another, I will be somewhat happy. I sure hope Lynn is solid and brings a mean streak with him...

Lynns run heavy mentality plus Bradley means a major overhaul in philosophy for the Deserters. Maybe now they'll invest in linemen
