Doesn't sound like Stuckey is going anywhere.
Does being the best on a squad ranked 32nd really mean alot?.. it's not like they can go any lower, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did let him go in favor of keeping someone younger.

Stuckey is not the reason the special teams were bad and we would miss him if he was gone. But, he is a terrible safety so I guess the team will have to pick their poison about what is most important.

I absolutely agree he is not the reason for the whole unit being horrible, but like you said, they will have to decide if they believe they have a younger guy with more potential to help and keeping someone that is going into what, his 8th year? and isn't going to go much higher than he is....a good ST player and a liability if he has to play too much safety....just my opinion.

Good points. But the other consideration is leadership. Teams need some older vets on each unit (and ST often gets overlooked) to set the tone, get the young guys to buy in and make the commitment, and lead. The fact that Stuckey has been considered a top STer in this league for years carries weight with the young guys. They will listen to him when the coaches are not around.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

"Terrible" might be stretching here. How many All Pro DBs did Pagano develop? Especially guys that weren't 1st round picks like Verrett and Weddle was before Pagano was in charge. You'd expect the new coaches would do intensive film review, cut the truly terrible ones early and give most holdover guys a clean slate in the new scheme to prove themselves.

McCoy just didn't appear to have that fire. Not that a HC has to rain fire and brimstone but players need to know if they don't execute, it could erupt at anytime.
Our team hasn't played with any urgency since Marty left.
Yeah no urgency at all winning 3 straight division titles and an appearance in the AFC Championship game after he left.

Because an image of Norv as a great coach doesn't exist.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

By the way, Norv is now jobless.
