    Good Bye Dunlap

Dunlap was better than I thought he'd be, when healthy.

He needed to retire to protect his brain. He played well when healthy. I wish him well, hopefully in retirement.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I'd prefer Barksdale gone instead. What do they do about depth?

The 2 guys who were serviceable (Dunlap, Fluker) are gone. The 2 guys who were flat out awful (Franklin, Barksdale) are still here......

Maybe Franklin can move back to RT. lol But like ive said in the past Tuerk can probably play that position better than Barksdale.

I think OT is most likely a very high priority in the draft now. I just hope this dosnt mean they have settled on one of the OL at #7. lol

First 2 picks will probably end up being offensive in a very defensive draft.

          1. Williams WR
          2. Moton RT
          3. Williams FS

          Some shit like that.

Agreed. Flowers should retire as well for his own health.

Franklin and Barksdale need to go as well. This oline needs work. Seems like deja vu all over again.

I think between the concussions, recent charges and $500k bonus he was just too risky to keep. I think we will see us active later in FA once guys start dropping from June cuts. I expect 1 in the draft and a gaggle of udfa again searching for serviceable prospects. Would be nice to see 2 but we have other needs too. Maybe a trade for a vet?

Honestly Dunlap should hang them up, with how many concussions he's had. It is just not worth the long term issues that may arise for a few more short years in the NFL. Serviceable player when healthy, but not completely surprised.

He made his millions...time to retire and enjoy his youth. Invest wisely and he is set for life and leaves a legacy for his kids

Free agent OT King Dunlap has announced his retirement after nine seasons.

Released by the Chargers on March 13, Dunlap hadn't drawn a whiff of interest in free agency. Dunlap had struggled with injury and ineffectiveness the past two years, including concussion issues. He appeared in all 16 games just once in his career. Dunlap turns 32 in September.

I wish him luck. He was a nice addition but just couldnt stay healthy the last few years. Hopefully he spends his money wisely and can ride off into the sunset in peace.
