Lost 31-14. 6 previously undefeated teams lost this weekend. Still a chance for that NY bowl game, but they have to come back and win all the rest including the MWC, and hopefully both USF and UCF lose along the way.

Reminded me of the South Alabama game last year. BSU's d-line was better tonight. Aztecs can now fatten up on the bad MW West and get ready for the Championship game. .Fresno State suddenly becomes very important.

It was a lot like watching a Charger game. Offensive line utterly dominated so we couldn't run and the QB was under duress, the defense did not come up with any big plays or stops when needed, and the special teams were horrible.

What an utter collapse. I blame the coaching more than the inexperience on the o line. We had inexperience all year long. Teams are now playing us differently and the coaching staff seems utterly at a loss on how to adjust. Add in zero big plays by the defense and the special teams and you have some pretty bad football being played.

The team seems a bit spent. Not only the offense, but what was once a clear positive for the team, special teams, is now a negative.

FSU is also better than most people give them credit for. They shut out NM 38-0 last weekend. Still, 9-3 or 10-2 is pretty good for what everybody thought was going to be a down year.

You might be right, though. Both the offense and defense seem to be simpler and easier to read than earlier in the year. Maybe the coaches tried to simplify things to reduce mistakes, but in doing so they made it easier for other teams to scheme against them(????). For example: The defense seems to line up in their "Tampa Cover 2 Zone" defense way more than last year, and the LBs don't seem to move around as much pre-snap.
