09/27/17 - S Derwin James is second on the team in tackles with 14 through two games. However, defense isn't where you should watch for James this week. Special teams, and maybe even offense, is where you might see James make his biggest impact against Wake Forest. With FSU needing a spark on special teams in the second half, James returned a kickoff 49 yards. Coach Jimbo Fisher has long toyed with putting him on offense as well, so don't be surprised with Florida State 0-2 if you see James returning kicks and playing a snap or two of offense this week. 09/26/17 - Arguably the best prospect for the 2018 NFL Draft, Florida State redshirt sophomore DS Derwin James (6-2, 211, 4.52, #3) has been very up-and-down in his return from injury this season, which was fully illustrated against N.C. State. On one hand, when he unlocks his hips and runs, his closing speed is special, covering a ton of ground. James has the body control and awareness to get a jump on plays vs. both the pass and the run, creating chaos for the offense. However, he has also struggled in some areas, specifically in space when asked to make stops. 09/25/17 - Winless Florida State finds itself outside of the Top 25 for the first time since 2011 in the latest Associated Press poll released Sunday. The Seminoles are 0-2 after Saturday's 27-21 home loss to North Carolina State. Florida State was ranked 12th prior to the defeat that caused the plummet out of the rankings. The Seminoles began the season ranked third. They dropped their opener to top-ranked Alabama and also lost standout quarterback Deondre Francois with a season-ending knee surgery. The 0-2 start is Florida State's first since 1989. On that occasion, they won their final 10 games to finish the season No. 3 in the nation. The top five remains unchanged with Alabama still atop the rankings and defending national champion Clemson sitting at No. 2. Oklahoma is third, followed by USC and Washington. The Crimson Tide received 52 first-place votes. Clemson got eight and Oklahoma received one. - The Sports Xchange 09/25/17 - S Derwin James is currently second on the team in tackles with 14 through two games, and he has a half a sack and one pass breakup. James had an interception against N.C. State wiped away because of a penalty, but he made a acrobatic move to find the tipped ball and come down with it. 09/05/17 - Sept 5 ACC Defensive back of The Week: Derwin James, Florida State, S, 6-3, 211, So.-r, Haines City, Fla.,...After missing the final 11 games of 2016 with a knee injury, James return to record six tackles against No. 1 Alabama on Saturday night. He teamed with Fred Jones on a quarterback sack and helped FSU became the first team since 2008 to hold Alabama to fewer than 100 passing yards and 200 rushing yards in the same game. The defense also held the Crimson Tide to 3-for-16 on third down conversions and in the third and fourth quarters, allowed just 13 points over five consecutive possessions that began in FSU territory. - ACC Football

As for Rosen, his game more suited for the pro game and I think he could have the best rookie years because of how polished he is. He could run Whiz offense really well as they do some similar things with Jim Mora.
