First Four Games; Second Four Games

    First quarter of the season:
    Chiefs 4-0
    Broncos 3-1
    Raiders 2-2
    Chargers 0-4

    Second
    Chargers 3-1
    Raiders 1-3
    Chiefs 1-3
    Broncos 0-4

Chargers at least trending in right direction. Raiders continue to eek out victories (barely). Broncos I figured would tank. Chiefs really surprise me. 1-3?

The Chiefs D has really regressed.

    Denver has no QB

Faiders D sucks and have a china doll for a QB.

As crazy as it sounds I believe the Bolts can still win the division. Going 2-0 in the next two games against the Jags and Buffalo is needed though

The Faiders have no D outside of Khalil Mack and Marshon Lynch hasn't been a factor.
Denver in a tail spin for sure when you start Brock Osweiler.
KC D has regressed and Hunt hasn't rush for 100 yards or a TD in the last 4 games with KC being 1-3

3-5 is a tough place to comeback and make the playoffs from, but it can be done and we have done it from 'worse' spots(the 4-8 to 8-8 division winner in '08 was a borderline historic miracle, thanks to ****ler's DEN collapse).

            @ Jags - tough
            Bills - tough
            @ Cowboys - tough
            @ Skins - tough
            Browns - winnable
@ Chiefs - tough in KC
            @ Jets - winnable
Raiders - winnable (we know them)

We play 5 out of our next 7 on the road - that is always tough. But maybe given how little home field advantage the Chargers actually have, that isn't the end of the world. We need to win 3 games at a minimum in this next 4 game stretch. That is a BIG task given how inconsistent and prone to shooting ourselves in the foot we are.

The Redskins game is at home. Our last 8 are 4 home and 4 away.

The hard part of getting in the playoffs will be the fact that there are a lot of teams in the same situation as us, if not better placed to get a wildcard spot.

                  Div leaders
                  NE 6-2
                  Pitt 6-2
                  Ten 5-3
                  KC 6-3

                  Wildcard contenders
                  Buf 5-3
                  Miami 4-4
                  NYJ 4-5
                  Balt 4-5
                  Cin 3-5
                  Jac 5-3
Hou 3-5 (Lost their QB and D is banged up)
                  Indy 3-6
                  Oak 4-5
                  Chargers 3-5
                  Den 3-5

Any of the wildcard teams can help their chances if not clinch outright just by getting hot and going 6-2 or better. Not all of those teams can do that, simply because most of their games are against each other. For the most part, if we can get a 10-6 or better record we are in, although a few 11-5 teams have missed the playoffs. Most season at least one wild card team has a 9-7 record. So, we just have to control what we can control, win some games and trust to luck. If the Chargers get hot, anything is possible.

It certainly helps Dallas lost Elliot, but Alfred Morris has played really, really well the last couple of preseasons and has been hot in the few chances he has had the last couple of years. A win on the national stage vs Dallas would go a long way to making people forget the recent past. But they are the kind of team that gives us fits. I don't doubt we can keep it close, but we just can't seem to finish them. It's going to be a good test to see how much Lynn has changed the team culture.

Take the various qualifiers away and leave it at we need to win 3 of the next 4...... that is something we just don't do well. AS soon as just about any team in recent memory starts to get some momentum, we step on the old crank with the golf shoes. This is the point that Lynn has to prove he has fixed something. Even if we miss the playoffs, get a couple of 3+ game win streaks down the stretch, we will finally be showing some progress.

                      NYJ 4-5
                      Balt 4-5
                      Cin 3-5

                      Oak 4-5
                      Chargers 3-5
                      Den 3-5
Teams I don't see as contenders they don't have a QB to lead
NYJ- I just don't see McCown getting them in he can't carry the team
Balt - Offense is none existent and Flacoo can't carry a team period
Cin - they are a mess and Andy Dalton is average at best
Indy- Brissett isn't going to get them close
Hou - Savage is just unsavageable
Den- Osweiller\Paxton Lynch that is a NO, they will cause there good D to be on the field too much
Miami - Cutler can't carry the team and they traded Ajai there best RB (DAM Koo should of made that FG)

The contenders because they have good QBs
Oak - Carr can carry the team despite their D being bad
Chargers - Rivers and the D playing better

                      Top Contenders for now
Buff - Taylor doesn't turn the ball over and at the same time he is average with just one weapon McCoy, but a good D and they are 5-3
Jax - I am not a Borttles believer he is inconsistent and lets hope he is this weekend, but he has Fournette and a top rank D they are kind of like Buff 5-3

                      Bottom Line Two spots Available
I don't think both Jax and Buff makes it especially if we beat both of them
Raiders D and Lynch not making a difference and they are 1-2 in the West and we beat them already and we have improved Defensively since that game.

These two weeks are so Critical!!!!!!!!
