Who is Nathan Peterman?
Peterman was selected by the Bills in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he joined a roster that included Taylor, veteran T.J. Yates and Cardale Jones. Peterman was impressive enough in the preseason to become the No. 2 quarterback in Buffalo, and he will make his first career NFL start Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.
Bills coach Sean McDermott explained that starting Peterman is a "calculated risk" in an attempt to get the Bills to the playoffs.
I've been impressed with the maturity from Nathan Peterman. I'm comfortable making a calculated risk to try and get us where we need to go.
How much experience does Peterman have?Where did he play in college?
Pittsburgh, via Tennessee. Peterman began his career as a Volunteer, but the head coach that recruited him, Derek Dooley, as fired during his redshirt freshman year. Under Butch Jones, Peterman struggled to make regular appearances, and eventually lost any chance of playing due to the emergence of Joshua Dobbs.
Peterman transferred to Pittsburgh, where in two seasons he threw a combined 47 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

It might actually be the first game where the Chargers have a home field advantage. I can't see Bills fans traveling for this one.
Different coaching staffs, but it always seems that the Chargers have issues with rookie QBs at the worst times.

That point spread seems about right.
Watch Peterman tear our defense up.
My biggest worry about this game is our offense. Yeah, I know the Saints just pummeled them, but the Bills D has been pretty good this year, and the Chargers just can't establish a running game. Which is what the Saints destroyed them with."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said Philip Rivers will be limited in practice on Wednesday as he goes through the NFL concussion protocol, but his reps will increase as his health improves.
