Yep, pretty good. The only team I can think of that is definitely better than this years Chargers team is the 1979 San Diego Chargers team. Right now I would take the 1979 team no question over this one. I HAD to bring that up, didn't I. lolFor Stinky-Jon-Wizzleteats....

I'm not going to get into the "most complete" debate. I will say this defense is awesome. I hope they continue to improve and build it. that's what is going to win a championship. Rivers is still a lot better than a game manager and Lynn realized you can't fit a square peg into a round hole and let Wiz run his offense. I've got nothing to bitch about. Something that hasn't happened in quite a few years.

I'm enjoying this run.
When there's a "signature win" such as the '79 team's win over Pissburgh, the '92 team's PO win
over KC, or the '04 team's wins over Denver & KC, the conversation has merit.
'til then, I'm not worrying about comparisons to other editions of the Chargers.San Diego Chargers
1961-2017

The key difference is that team had a much better OL, The DBs on the current team are as a group better than that team, but Cromartie is more talented than Hayward (but softer). The special teams were also bettter back then.

Good comparison. I would say Floyd was also a bit better than this year version of T-Will.

Floyd back then was just a developing baby, his best years came after VJ left. McCardell was the #2.
I think the better comparison might be the 2005 team that just missed the playoffs at 9-7, but that team was led by Drew Brees, but didn't have Cromartie.

Regardless what happens this year, the most exciting part of this team is that there best players are relatively young. Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, Hunter Henry, Trevor Williams, Desmond King, Denzel Perryman, Dan Feeney and Tyrell Williams are all playing huge roles on this team and are 25 years old or younger. Throw Lamp/Williams into the mix next year and this is a nice young core of talent

This is a good group I don't trust our Kicker Coons can he kick anything 50 yards plus.
QB is good
OL has been good enough to win and healthy for a change
TE - Hunter Henry is ascending star, and nobody has hardly mentioned Gates name
WR -Allen stud, T. Williams (needs to be consistent) M. Williams (need to be healthy) Benjamin (explosive better than last year)
DL just need to stop run consistently, pass rush has been good (Bosa, Ingram, and McCain)
LB Perryman is the man, suprise Brown has become a none factor
CB have been very good minus Verrett and big plus with Desmond King
S - Addae has improve and Boston has made plays even though I don't trust him.
Overall this is a good group
