Regardless what happens this year, the most exciting part of this team is that there best players are relatively young. Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, Hunter Henry, Trevor Williams, Desmond King, Denzel Perryman, Dan Feeney and Tyrell Williams are all playing huge roles on this team and are 25 years old or younger. Throw Lamp/Williams into the mix next year and this is a nice young core of talent

I have always been a Telesco fan although it is easy to say this now I have been saying this over the years. He might be the best in the league at finding guys late in the draft or in UDFA. Jahleel Addae, Tyrell Williams, Trevor Williams, and Austin Ekler were all undrafted

Telesco is a bright drafter, good personnel guy, who have none to very little ego, a nice guy who works well with people (can't say that with our previous management like Bobby Beathard, AJ Smith), and learned a bunch from Bill Polian. That's who we need.

I like Telesco. Picking the QB to replace Rivers will determine his legacy. This team is young and talented (as stated above) in all but the most critical position. Unless you think Cardale is the answer.

If Cardale is a possibility, why is he running scout teams?
He would need actual reps to learn this offense.
We already know what Clemens is.

Rivers himself called it last year, I think, that he felt this team had a chance to be real good, since the good teams from 06, 07, etc. The team is on the rise now, and with a couple more pieces, can be a dominating team on D. Although I am pumped about how well the pass attack is going now, I still think the offense will have to run the ball better this season and into the playoffs to be able to make a significant run. I don't think the high-flying aerial attack and avg (if that) rush game will take us to where we want to go. I hope I am wrong.

Agree. Teams who went pass happy, fell in love with the pass and abandon the runs never really having success, except for if you have a dink-dunk system like in NE or NO, where they replace runs with short passes. Pass happy teams tend to pass for a lot of yards and outgain people but poor completion %, poor redzone success, ended up kicking a lot of FGs or punt from midfield, or turnovers a lot.

All drafted in the first 3 rounds and all have been busts (two being first rounders). I would add Gordon has not lived up to his draft position and we are still waiting to see if Mike Williams ever lives up to his. I should add that we traded three 4th rounders to move up to get some of the guys on my list.

Oh, and Telesco was the guy who hired McCoy.
