Two thoughts on very successful coaches;
First Bill Belicheck. I would like for someone in the media to finally call him what he is. A very poor sport. He has a history of cheating, bending the rules, stretching the rules. He revels in his grumpy, surly persona. But after a rare Patriots loss, he always acts like a petulant kid. Show some class. Answer questions. Give the other team some credit. Brady is the same way. Anyone can be gracious in winning; it is being gracious in losing that shows your true character. Why does Belicheck get a pass? Players get vilified for acting the way he does after losing a big game. Is this the image the NFL wants?
Sean Payton. He did something very classless and juvenile to the RB (Freeman?) from Atlanta. He clearly called him a choker and made the choking sign to him. It is not debatable. Great way to set the tone for the team. And his reaction to getting caught is even worse that what he did. He said he did not remember doing that. Then he stomped out of the press conference. NFL should suspend him. This is serious because the team is supposed to be a reflection of the Head Coach. Also you have to consider his past. Is this the image the NFL wants?
