Agree. Can him at season's end. Not sure how much help/input he had as assistant head coach either, but Lynn can surely find someone better.

He hadn't coaching ST since the 80s, I think. And only had 1 season of experience in that role. Similar to one our old ST coach who hadn't coach ST since 1980s, and our ST sucked for a few years. Andy Reid stubbornly assigned his OL coach to be his new DC, began his down fall in PHI. Lynn brought Stewart here to be his ally and personal assistant (he also has the title Assistant Head Coach). It's interesting to see what he will do with Stewart. Or he'll pull a Marty and keep his close coaches no matter what.

If Stewart is brought back as our ST coach, than Lynn has zero credibility about anything dealing with accountability. He has no problem throw players under the bus - let's see him do it to a coach.

Didn’t the team extend his contract before this season?

I am fine keeping Stewart, so long as he has nothing to do with the ST. It's probably better to let him go altogether, but Stewart has been a good offensive coach for a long time.

What about John Pagano as ST coordinator if Gruden fires him? He was at his best as LB coach, but DC seemed too big for him. Maybe he would excel stepping back to ST coach.
