Ho boy... Just what we needed. We ought to just resign Koo while we're at it.

I still say we draft the kid from Georgia

Good Lord! TT already threw himself under the bus for not providing Lynn with an "NFL quality" kicker and we sign a guy who makes 71% of his kicks? I guess you could argue that his 71% average is better than the combined 66.7% we made this past season. I hope they bring in more competition than that.

      Roberto Aguayo

      Florida St. ACC

      Drafted By: Buccaneers
      • Round 2
      • Pick 28
      • Overall 59

      Grade

      5.5 ?

      Draft Analysis:

"Roberto Aguayo comes from Florida State, so the natural comparison is Sebastian Janikowski, who was a first-round pick in 2000. Janikowski is pure power, but Aguayo has more power than you think." -- Charles Davis
      • 6'0" Height
      • 31 3/4" Arm Length
      • 207LBS. Weight
      • 9 7/8" Hands

      Overview

      Analysis

      Strengths

      Weaknesses

Saw his accuracy dip in 2015. Made just 5-of-9 field goals from 41 yards and beyond. Will occasionally lose track of a kickoff and knock it out of bounds. Only attempted six kicks of 50-plus yards during his career. While quality of kickoffs have improved, still doesn't have a booming kickoff leg.Draft Projection

      Round 3Sources Tell Us

"I had our special teams coach watch tape on him after our season was over and he really liked him. It may be time for us to upgrade board." -- AFC scoutNFL Comparison

      Graham GanoBottom Line

Burst onto the college scene by winning the Lou Groza Award as a redshirt freshman and performing at a high level during the Seminoles' run under Jameis Winston. Aguayo is considered an accurate, clutch kicker but with average leg strength. Aguayo is the first kicker to declare early for the draft since Sebastian Janikowski and is expected to be drafted, though not as early as "Seabass" was.

I think so. He's got talent and has made his pro mistakes. It's a really good pickup for us.

Just to play devils advocate here. What has changed between now and when he got drafted?

Two years of work on his game. One year of NFL pressure. Some kickers take time to mature their game.

I don't care if he has a great camp and preseason. I will still hate seeing him out on the field for any important kicks.

                    I dont trust headcase kickers

He might get the chance to be the first player to be the first camp cut, twice, on Hard Knocks.
