So the league and the Colts and Chargers have known about the incident but McCain is just finding out?

And if he didnt , the Chargers have a quick trigger and deemed him guilty before the facts came out.
If he is innocent, then i guess the Chargers would rather be a mens choir than a good team. We'll see. Foster came out innocent and im sure the Niners are glad they waited to see how it came out.

Foster is a helluva player, a guy they are building their D around. McCain is a depth rotation piece that has bounced around the league. Like it or not talented players are given more latitude.

Chargers are still in a fight for relevance in LA and simply can't afford any mis-steps or distractions or negative publicity that could drag on and damage the product in any way. That's why the quick trigger and erring on the side of caution in situations like this. Only rainbows, puppy dogs and lollipops allowed.

I dont like the guilty until proven innocent part of the NFL. Being accused is enough to lose your livelihood...its just not right. If Mccain is proven guilty then absolutely throw the book at him, but this policy is horrible. Im all about respect and I never would allow a male to batter a female but it has to be validated by the law to take action. There are too many people out there that have no morals and will blackmail NFL players without question...if all one has to do is tweet out a lie and someone loses acareer we have something seriously wrong.

That said im not saying Mccain is innocent but give him the right to defend himself legally before punishment is put on him. Imagine a coworker accusing you at work of something that you didnt do and your management fires you to keep their image clean...its not right.

Kind of odd to hear that sort of stuff from the Colts, considering what their owner just went through......
