The way he just flies through gaps...seems to know where the ball carrier is going before he cuts...and he is so fast to get after a qb on the move. With qbs being more mobile i just think this guy can really help us in all 3 phases. Run, pass and pass rush. Plays like a Safety. His speed stands out on film. And his film is fun to watch. I love this kid. These are really justa few highlights.
Their tackle production is in line with the number of plays they got. As far as big plays go, if you don't blitz the LB (and we don't) there is just about zero chance of the LB getting sacks. We no longer blitz our LB and .... suprise ..... they don't make any sacks. Bradley's D is always among one of the lowest blitz percentages in the league, so that isn't going to change.
Seattle had the best LB corp in the NFL when Bradley left and still blitzed a lot less than every other team. It's not how he is wired. And they didn't have the pass rushers we do.
If we want to blitz, Brown is an excellent choice to turn loose. His lack of production is because we didn't turn him loose.
Brown was on the field somewhat less than 50% of the snaps. His production wasn't great, but it isn't horrible. His big plays really fell off because we didn't use him like a blitzer (we did with Pagano), which minimizes his big-play potential.
I see edge rusher as a need (rotation guy) and its a week DE class. There is no guarantee there will be one availabe in the later rounds and I like him better then Davenport.
I get it wrong almost all the time (except for Mathews), so I won't even try... maybe say Jackson for an anti-vote. All I want is the pick to be available for all preseason games and is contributing Game 1,
