    Give me your money!

As the Chargers keep waiting for the powers-that-be in San Diego to fuel the effort to build a new stadium, the latest story on the effort reveals the biggest reason why the project is going nowhere.

A few bucks to Filner could go a long way...
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Every broke government entity is dropping stupid money all over the place. The Feds spent money with a research group that put a shrimp on a damn treadmill. Sure there was a slightly bigger picture in the resaerch, but one damn cent towards that silliness is too damn much.

i'm for public contributions and a new stadium, but on the other side i wonder why the chargers don't just take out a loan like a normal business and rent out the stadium for other uses? in the nfl, they will make this money back, and if they own the stadium, they will rake in all kinds of dough.

Its a solid idea, but when politicians are willing to sell out their communities to fund Corporate welfare, the NFL would be stupid not to rob us all blind.

ya i know why they do it, but if they were to take the risk it could be exponentially more profitable for them.

but they're probably not allow to put the teams up as leverage to the banks, that could be the problem.

AEG actually makes more money when they don't have sports tenants.
