After kicker Daniel Carlson missed three field goals, including two in overtime, during Sunday's tie with the Packers, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said he and General Manager Rick Spielman would discuss the rookie's future with the team on Monday.

I wasnt a big fan of drafting a PK. I wanted to get a UFA with a history of making kicks and experience. I did have him in the 7th of a bunch of mocks i did. Most FG kickers in the league i think are of the UDFA variety.

I wanted Sturgis. I wanted whatever kicker the Eagles threw away. I hope he turns out ok. His missed FG is concerning. But he could be just trying to get back into form after being hurt.

On radio they were saying Bailey turned down several teams earlier. Was waiting for the right situation. Wanted to be picky, maybe he turned us down.
