    See Ya Mager

Chargers placed CB Craig Mager (hamstring) on injured reserve.

A special teamer, Mager could be released with an injury settlement when healthy. The Chargers promoted OT Trent Scott from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Way overdue. But if it takes him being injured so be it. He fucking sucked. Another 3rd round waste.

He cannot cover, which is job #1 of a CB. I believe this is injury related, mostly though.

I like Trent Scott. He looked like he has more potential than Tevi in Preseason, albeit a cursory look.

Just a gigantic head scratcher of a pick. Mager, Watt and Tuerk just wasted picks. Players in the 3rd should still be here contributing for us.

I know Telesco says it has to be a 100% agreement to make a draft pick but there's no way all those football people thought Mager was a good pick there with what was on the board. Just seems like a John Spanos want. Let the GM do his job.

My guess on the 3rd rounders is that the clusters are empty, so they reach into picks that might have starting potential, but may have a lot of risk. Mager was a question mark because he was in a G5 school, but they figured that Watt and Tuerk could handle it coming out of a P5 school. Allen was a steal, but had an injury history. Feeney so far, so good, but actually starting.

                  Allen turned out pretty good.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Mager just always looked lost in coverage.

I honestly thought when they drafted him, they were going to move him to safety.

But he always played corner...and he just couldn't cover. At least to my eyes.

Hopefully we are done with him completely. CB is going to be drafted high next year.

                      T. Scott look decent in preseason considering the conference he played in. He has a solid skill set/size, footwork, and tremendous college production at Grambling. The sacks allowed totals are great but more impressive to me is his pancakes & knockdowns. I think he needs 1-2 years of development with technique and strength but has a very high ceiling.
