Ok as far as running the ball imo he sucks right now. But as far as being a receiving back imo he is the best in the league. I always try to advocate for us to run the ball more because i think in the long run it makes this team better if they can run for atleast 125 yards a game to 150 yards a game. If we can do that i think this team can be unstoppable. It doesn't have to be all Gordon rushing for 150 yards either. Hell look what Ekeler did when he had the ball. I don't know if it's because he sees a hole right away or it's because the offensive line blocks for him better. Speaking of the offensive line i noticed when Gordon was running our line was getting pushed back a few times. I believe the reason is because everytime Rivers is under center 9 times out of ten we run the ball with a few pass plays mixed in. The defense knows this so what do they do they put 8 men on the line of scrimmage. So instead of calling an audible they try to run the ball.

I see Gordon gets more run def, alot more. Ekeler has more holes because defenses play the pass with him.
In Game 1 KC was biting on all the play action Phil threw. Check out the dropped passes clips to see the LB's taking forward 1st step every time when Gordon looks like getting the ball.
All in all some small improvements in run blocking will see Gordon hitting holes and that big stride making highlights. Lamp needed for this.

Lamp, when healthy/ready, will make an impact on the entire O.
Joey & Corey will likewise make our D come together, allow others to play to their talents, and impact both the run & pass games.
Throw in the rooks playing at high levels and that will only increase as the season progresses.
Ekeler and MGIII are both playing solid. The way that both are being used in the passing game is great. I still want to see more screens and stretch runs were the RB can have the cutback. This will create more PAP opportunities for Phil & the WRs.
Our RBs vs. most teams LBs are huge mismatches. My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List

We need Lamp. Gotta admit with Tevi giving up 10 pressures the last 2 weeks it makes me contemplate Lamp at RT. Schofield at RG. Draft a mauling OG. Just a hypothetical i guess.
Oor OL is rated 30th by PFF. Thing i dont think they are taking into consideration the fact that we let guys in to dump balls off to Ekeler and Gordon underneath. It is a designed hurry.
