I hear ya!
I just feel like with a team like the Chargers (a team trying to reestablish themselves as true contenders), let them ride the "nobody believed in us, we felt disrespected, all of the experts didn't give us a chance"... train until they've proven themselves. I personally prefer them being the underdogs, as opposed to being the team that everyone is predicting to produce double digit wins, division titles and AFC championships, in spite of the fact that they haven't actually proven they can win games against the other true AFC contenders.
Before the season started, when I was listening to the experts make predictions, my attitude was... please stop hyping the Chargers until they go out and PROVE they can actually beat top contending teams first (especially top AFC teams), and please don't give the Chargers the division until they go out and actually PROVE they can beat the Chiefs first. Even before Peyton Manning, Andy Reid and Alex Smith became apart of the AFC West, the Chargers failed to win the division in 2010 & 2011, being beaten out by Matt Cassel's Chiefs and Tim Tebow's Broncos.
