Yeah im thinking its possible that Bosa is getting ready to hit IR/Return and Ealy will take that roster spot. And wile Uchena can Leo i do see Ealy taking over that 5Tech spot that Bosa plays. Eventhough he does line up at Leo and 3T at times. Especially on Goaline when we see Ingram at MLB.

Chargers working out defensive linemen
The Chargers have not had defensive end Joey Bosathat the team has Kony Ealy in for a look while his colleague Ian Rapoport adds Anthony Lanier and Xavier Cooper to the list.
Ealy had a sack in 15 games for the Jets last season and failed to make the Cowboys out of training camp this year. Cooper was his teammate for eight of those games and also recorded one sack. Lanier had five sacks and a forced fumble in 11 games for Washington.

As for Ealy, how in the world did he not stick( New England?) and why is he not on anyone else's roster?
If he's a bad dude, we certainly don't need that in the locker room.
Ingram is DEFINITELY a product of The Bosa effect. Any other pass rushers would be greatly advantageous to our hopes of winning.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

We dont have guys on the DL that are eating up blockers. Ingram is a dominant player. His skillset is above 90%. The things he does without Bosa and better players on the interior is very underrated. With Bosa and Liuget on the field hes unstoppable. He is still playing at a very high level without any help on the DL. Teams are not worried about our DL other than Melvin right now. His hands...his bend....his IQ its all way up there imo. A lot of guys in his tax bracket are surrounded by really good players right now.
He is also one of the most versatile pass rushers in the league. He could play MLB for us. He can stand up. He even hold his own on the rare occasion we slide him inside. he can cover. He can run. Hes a stud. Hes also the focal point of offenses we face right now. We really need the upgrades in Liuget/Bosa.

Melvin's problem, even coming out of college, was his length, particularly his arms.
He's always an inch away from pulling a QB down.
Great motor and tenacity, just the same physical shortcoming he's had since day one.
He'll certainly be more productive when Joey and Corey return. That extra punch he's receiving now will be reserved for Bosa. Watch Melvin's production arrow up upon Joey's return.....whenever that may be.
