Should i convert the Padre forum into something like we used to have? The Legacy Forum? It would likely be just as dead as most of those former members are gone. I would just have to mod personal attacks. Members getting called out by name etc.

I do miss our former members. I cant recall the reason i nixed that forum. I think it was just the overall negative vibe. But its been so long now. I wonder if the doscussions could ever be more civil?

We could call it the Charger Fight Club. We actually did this for a little bit i think.

It would take modding for sure. Especially if our old group of members came back. Which im certain they would not. But its important to me that our current team supportive members would be on board with a forum that allowed haters. Twitter is a bad scene for Charger fans. Every Charger post is met with a lot of fighting between both sides. Im not really looking for fighting. Im not looking to give this forum a negative vibe. But then again its simply one forum. And you have to enter it to see the Charger hate. I would make sure that posts in that forum dont show up in the new posts feature.

Modding personal attacks would be the biggest issue. It could just be our smack forum. Does smack involve personal attacks? I cant remember. lol

Well the Padres are terrible and probably why it is dead. They are pretty much a AAA team at this point. And the two big money guys arent playing well either. Three years away from competing.

No, three years ago the plan wasnt to build the farm and promote from within. 3 year ago i think they were still in trade the prospects away mode. If they keep the best players on the farm this team will be good but its gonna be another three years. Last years team there were rookies who they had on the team that never appeared on it this year like the SS Aybar for one. Codero....i think is his name, a SS is another. He was in AA ball last year and since then they got Galvis and let that kid stay in the minors.

This year we are seeing guys that probably wont make it like Villanueva, Asuaje and possibly Spangenburg. Dickenson has missed two full seasons and Franchie never came back this year.

It was ok, but the Charger haters were bleeding into the regular discussion. If you re-open, I think it may be not as bad as it was, but some of those guys are long gone.

Yeah i never got that signing. A vet in the clubhouse perhaps but for 140 million? And he wasnt that good this year at the plate. Should have left Myers at first but Hosmer is a much better first baseman if thats what you wanted. Needs to hit better than .250
