Was it smart to go for 2 at the end of the game???

I do understand the reasoning, but I thought he should of gone for the tie. I was shocked they didn't just run it in after the penalty to move the ball to the 1.5 yard line. The Chargers D was gassed, so I assume that had some factor in the decision.

IMO, it was a horrible decision and a horrible play call.

No it wasn't but I'll take it. On the flip side I can't remember the last time we stopped a 2 point conversion.

I respect the decision, but this isn't college. Who knows what would have happened in OT, but 2 pt conversions are still less than 50% probable. If they had made it, it would have been genius, but as they didn't, it's dumbass.

Easy to say after the fact. Mariotta runs and scores everyone's narrative is different. They had our D gassed.

Vrabel should have just trusted the fact that they were kicking our asses all over the field and not pin his team to just one (which morphed into two) play. Anything can happen on just one play as we saw. If he had trusted his team, they would have spanked us in OT as they had done for most of the game.

Hang that one on the coach. Vets like Billy B would have tied it up.

Where is this kicking our asses all over the field?

We should gave thrown the ball even more. They couldnt stop our pasing or play action at all. Our problem is we scored too damn fast and our D was on the field a long time causing them to be gassed late. Should have attacked the edges more on our runs too.

this. I don't have stats, but I'm guessing Vrable did on Chargers % of stopping 2 pointers- and it was probably in his favor. You know what they say: Go big or Go home. He went big.

I echo everyone's sentiment that our D was gassed. Vrabel should have seen that as well and gone for the tie.
The play call was bad too. Should have run it.
We were fortunate he did neither.

I think the Titans should have gone for it because we were so tired. I had no doubt they were going for it BUT both the play calls were terrible. They should have got MM out of the pocket and moving simply because we could not tackle him on first contact all day. I have no doubt that if they did a little RPO and moved him parallel to the LOS he would have broke a tackle and got in. Oh well...he didn't and we won!

Titan had momentum an they dominated time of possesion. Going to OT would of been the wise move.
