    Raiders to release Bruce Irvin

The Raiders continued their roster teardown, telling veteran defensive end and team captain Bruce Irvin that they plan to release him.

    Any interest?

I don't know if he played for Bradley at all in Seattle, but I know he played pretty well in Seattle- so he probably fits our scheme pretty well. Plus, Landrum hasn't been anything and until Bosa recovers (and probably after) we could use the depth.

There's lots of teams ahead of the Chargers on the waiver wire. Gotta try though.

I don't think we have the cap space to pick up his contract on waivers. It would have to be after he clears or some restructuring.

Irvin cleared waivers. This means the Raiders have to pay him his remaining $4m. Whatever team signs him he gets that money too. Look for chiefs, Seahawks, rams or patriots to sign him for $500k for the rest of the year. Did he play with Gus in Seattle? Maybe he would play for the bolts? Even if all he does is pass rush he would be worth it for the rest of the season
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

I'll be real surprised if we don't at least try to get him. When Bosa is back in the lineup, he'll make our pass rush pretty scary.
