Im gonna guess that the players decided not to listen to Stewart and that is why King returned a punt return for a TD.

Here are our punt return plays:

Catch the ball and run backward.
Let the ball bounce and roll so the other team downs it deep in our territory.
      Fair catch.
      Return the kcik.

So see, he did make the right call!

Is that how you think a kick return is coached?

It was probably a blocking scheme that was called, and it worked. Hey, don't shoot the messenger, lol, I didn't believe my ears when I heard on the KNSD show.

PR either passed or matched Peyton Manning for the number of comeback games from down at least 14... 7 times.

Objectively speaking, this ST has been bad in most areas but also has been really good/great in the return game all season. We have had a lot of of long returns, near TD all season. The only reason we haven't get many return for TDs so far is due to the lack of speed of King. He has great vision and makes great decisions on where to go with the ball, but tacklers have been able to catch him from behind. His lack of quickness also cause him to lose to the last line of defense where if he had juke that guy he would go all the way.

This season return game scheme is the best we have had since the Boss Ross days. The TD returns of Eric Metcalf (Gilbride days) and Sproles (Marty/AJ Smith era) mostly due to their own skills of making people miss and out run people to the end zone. This year long returns you can clearly see that it's the blocking scheme and blockers doing good job in open field blocking, they're being coached well on blocking during return. All 3 guys we put in there this year have had good returns, mostly untouch until going down. The TD today King ran untouch into the endzone. He didn't demonstrate any personal skills like making people miss, break tackle or anything.

Thats as satisfying a win as I can think of in a long, long time. Maybe since beating KC in KC late in 2013 season.
                  Precisely
and besides they got away with more than we did especially on the defensive side of the ball

On the other side, Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said his team changed up the scheme in the second half to keep Rivers more clean and open rushing lanes.
i sure wish fhey would come out with fheir better schemes at the kickofff.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

From Stewart, yes. Can't imagine he has much for blocking scheme's since most don't produce much. I was thinking lets not to run out any kickoffs because we couldn't get them barely out to the 20.

That punt return today, I think the only other long return was also by King for about 40-50. That's about it.
