Chargers activate TE Hunter Henry for game vs. Patriots

      10:59 AM PT
      • ESPN
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry has been activated and is eligible to play in Sunday's divisional-round game against the New England Patriots, the team announced Monday.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

We can play mind games too.

I do think he will actually play in limited snaps, not sure how effective he'll be but I think he will help open things up. If anything at least another red zone weapon which will be huge as we cannot settle for FGs against this team.

Sounds like he isnt a definite to play yet but id have to imagine sacrificing a valuable roster spot without real intent to play him wouldnt be wise. Hopefully a great week of practice and he is in football shape to take some hits.

How about that one hander for a 1st down. It was fun, but I'd rather see him get two hands on the ball.

Schefter said Henry "drew raves from the Chargers in practice last week." I'd expect he is in there mainly on passing downs:15-20 plays, a few catches.

He replaced Jatavis Brown, so it was already built in. If anyone significant got hurt, there might have been a consideration to use that spot with someone else, and Facyson probably wasn't enough to warrant another special teamer callup.

I'd like to see Hunter in a role that is a complete surprise to the Pats. Not sure what that would be... maybe deep middle.

The key is who do you cover him with at the line. Rivers will use that info to adjust the play. He just brings another dimension of speed for a big guy you cant cover well with a lb. bting a safety up snd it opens up single coverage on a WR.

if his hands are still great and he has his speed then he is a good target you have to respect and keep an eye on off his blocks.

he is a good piece in the chess match with no tape on his use this year. I definitely throw his way.

Hunter Is a great blocker, so if he is use to block and NE is expecting a pass because he is in, its a good thing IMO
