Hmm, i didnt notice the block helping either. Still had a lot of pain after but i got it the day before and never had one before so i dont know if it helped or not to be honest. But i didnt have any after effects from it. Glad it all worked out for you. I just hope to avoid any infections.

I never had a block before on knee surgeries- even ACL reconstruction. They talked me into it this time telling me this was WAAAAY different than ACL reconstruction and other surgeries I had. The damn thing hurt the back of my knee and made my upper leg numb for days after I was sent home. They seemed to do a lot of extra stuff to pad the bill on my procedure. I got a detailed printout of everything afterwards- INSANE! Good Luck on your surgery! There's very little chance of a bad outcome if you have a good Dr. and support.

Goodluck on the sugery Boltjolt, I dont envy you. I am scared to go under the knife again. But I might have to, my residual limb has developed a bone spur where the bone was cut. Im going to try to just live with it, just to uch.

I am also not right in the head, after my surgeries I went to Youtube and had to watch Above Knee Amputations - had to know. I feel like I was put through a meat grinder after those videos! LOL
