    Weddle (aka "Threaddle")

I have a different opinion of this than many here.

Eric Weddle's reunion with Chargers: No grudges but never forget

    1:22 AM PT
    • Jamison Hensley and Eric D. Williams
OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Eric Weddle will soon come face to face with the Los Angeles Chargers for the first time since 2015, when the sides endured a divorce so painful that the Pro Bowl safety once declared the team was "dead" to him.
The Chargers have since relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles. Weddle, who is finishing his third season with the Baltimore Ravens, says he has moved on as well.

Best of NFL NationTony Jefferson said. "I caught him a few times looking at Philip Rivers and what they do."

I say fuck McLoser and fuck the Spanii. Weddle put everything on the line while he was a Bolt.

Hi. First time caller, long time listener. Had to post cause I'm pissed they retained McMonkey. And then throw Frank Reich under the bus and call it good? Christ, this is the best QB we've ever had in the history of the organization (Yes, even better than my hero, Dan Fouts) and Felipe Rios is going waste with this guy.

    Boo!

Question: Can anyone name one good move that John and A.G. have made in the last calendar? End rant. I'll shut up now cause I know I'm always talking.

Former #Chargers safety Eric Weddle is signing with the #Ravens, source said.

One thing I found interesting was that he was pissed when we re-signed Gates because Weddle is "five years younger and has never been busted for PEDs." I dunno, factually he's right but I don't think it's fair to compare because it's kind of a slight to a former teammate. Why can't you just be happy for Gates since you've already decided to move on? He's hurt. He's emotional. He wanted to stay. But seriously, don't be so petty...at least not publicly.

I can see how Telesco's comment about "only signing final contracts on HOFers" might be a little off-putting, but does Eric really think he's a future HOFer at this point? Maybe he has two or three more kick-ass years and wins a couple of titles and changes things, but the trajectory right now isn't for Canton. He's been a really good player.

And btw, Weddle holds no animus towards McCoy. So that argument was cleanly undercut.
I just started reading that article. The writer quickly moved to Weddle and Rivers talking in the tub.
Hey, I'm all for gay rights, but I'm not ready for gay porn stories. Maybe, when I get a little less homophobic, I'll read the rest of it.

It sounds like Weddle didn't want to play without an extension to his contract, and the Chargers were willing to just let the contract lapse. John Spanos said that he was personally on good terms with him in an interview with Sileo on 1090. Weddle chose the 'negotiate in public' route, but Telesco wasn't biting. I think the only thing that looked bad on the Chargers part was when they didn't allow him to travel with the team on the last game, but I think Weddle probably wouldn't have gone anyway. I have a feeling that Weddle will play reasonably well, up to a certain point in the season, then fall off dramatically.

Ravens. Thankfully, it wasn't the Raiders.

Looking at some of the early draft sites and I keep seeing these sites mentioning how much our D misses Waddle. Really? Do we?
We certainly aren't loaded with pro-bowlers but I think the bunch of no namers we threw out there are doing ok. They are not killing us and I'm not sure I'd even consider them a major weakness at this point.

Oh they've spent on top dollar free agents like David Boston and Marcellus Wiley. Don't forget Aaron Taylor and John Jackson. They just don't work out for us. So since we're not very good at getting productive top dollar FA's I don't mourn their aversion to signing them. In that respect, I give them some credit. They aren't cheap, just pragmatic. There's one example where they are. Now, you name another one. Go!

On the other hand we're extremely bad at signing mid-range FA's for top dollar like Donald Brown and that CB who was so bad I can't ever remember his name. Or maybe I have blocked it. We still do that, I think. We'll see whether that continues or not.

If you can't reach a contract agreement, shake hands and move on, don't shit all over your former star.

Cry me a river. I'll never forget how they treated me and my family......like make u the highest paid safety in the NFL and were heavily criticized for it across the league because u had yet to perform at that level? Or you forget that part of your tenure? Oh woe is me. Then he negotiated in the media and acted like a gilted ex after dogging it his last season FUCK WEDDLE.
