Arizona had impressive special teams this season.
I don't know offhand who their coach was under Wilkes.

Eric Bieniemy is up for the Bucs, Cards, and Dolphins job. That probably won't hurt the Chiefs too much, as Reid makes the calls, but its nice to see a good guy ex-Charger player do well.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ron Milus or Giff Smith be poached to be a DC on the new staff at one of these head coach openings.

And who has the final say on draft picks?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I just read on CBS this morning that they are giving him a hard look after going 5 - 3. I would have liked him better if he was 6 - 2.

Just relaying what I read, but I would be very wary around Williams, Buddy Ryan redux. I think the Browns rallied in response to Hue Jackson leaving, vs. Williams leadership, and it may be short lived. The Browns are on the edge of being a playoff team; do they go with a quasi-status quo, or make another change for Baker Mayfield. In any case, keeping the current OC may be the right move, but he might not be ready for the HC job.

I think most of the playoff field wish he were 6-2 as well.

(APe) - Reports out of Oakland are that Jon Gruden made a hard play for Mel Kiper Jr as the next GM of the Raiders, but he was spurned by Kiper and also received a luke warm reaction from owner Mark Davis. Davis reportedly has a real issue with Kiper's hair and that was his sticking point. 'Can't have someone in the front office with hair as nice as mine,' said Davis according to unnamed sources. Gruden was reported to have said, ' Man, getting Kiper would be awesome, man. Wow! He's a hell of a tv personality. I've been to his room in his mom's basement, like a million times, man! He can tell just by watching tv which players can run y-z-65-spider-banana!' Gruden also sought to have Joel Buschbaum exumed to take over as GM, but that was denied by his estate. Gruden said that Kiper was his number one choice, the deceased Buschbaum was his back up and Mayock was his safety."Thrilled to have Mike on board, man!' said an elated Gruden. "Can't wait to get in the booth with him and call a couple of our games in 2019!"

I think Mayock is a bad GM hire. So much more to being a GM than the draft. He had never negotiated a contract in his life or had to get free agents or manage a slry cap. John Lynch was in the same boat and they can blame their bad season on losing Garropolo but they still would have a losing record.
