Chargers @ Ravens Wild Card GDT

Everything comes down to the trenches on both sides of the ball.
Can the defensive line keep up their stellar play limiting Jackson (like they did last time) without Mebane?
Can the offensive line give Rivers time in the pocket? Can Dan Feeny, who is statistically the worst guard the Chargers have had starting in the last 26 years, actually have a good game? If he sucks again, will Lynn bench him and give Lamp an opportunity?
Answers to these questions will sum up the game results imo.Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

" If Chargers are truly special, it starts with wild-card game against Ravens ... or nevermore

They first said it during training camp, insisting they had the potential to be special and to do something exceptional as a team.
Chargers players repeated that mantra every step of the way, through setbacks and comebacks and everything in between. The team was unified, they said. More resilient than in the past. More determined defensively and deeper offensively.
Their confidence and assurance built as they shrugged off losing two of their first three games and pulled off victories in hostile settings in Cleveland, Seattle, Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
The Chargers backed their words with their performances. They won seven of eight road games and in London too, as a league-leading seven Pro Bowl picks carried them to their sixth 12-win season in franchise history and to the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
Come on Chargers.. bring it on!.

That article is spot on - put up or shut up. They have the talent to do it, but will they come out fired up and bring their A game? Or will they be the same team that got pushed around 2 weeks ago (though even then we had a chance to win late)? Rivers doesn't have many more chances so I really hope he plays within himself and doesn't try and win the game by himself, which leads to forcing too many things. And the line needs to step up. It would be nice to get up early and force the Ravens to try and win by passing.
