No way could you pay Seau that much at that stage of his career. He didn't want to restructure. He was still useful for sure, but not a top 5 LB anymore. it is a business after all. That is what happens at the end of big contracts and past their prime players unfortunately. Same goes for LT. And both are in my top 5 Chargers of all-time.
Weddle made his own bed. He acted like a petulant bitch after having been paid the highest at his position before playing at that level. The Chargers paid him based on faith and were roundly criticized at the time of the contract. Some disprespect. F him and his man crush Acee. He got half the money on the open market that we would have had to pay him.
