We won't go to another system before Rivers' retirement, certainly not Andy Reid's West Coast system and his coaching trees. The West Coast offense fits mobile QBs like Steve Young, Aaron Rodgers, Farve, Alex Smith etc., not slow statue pocket QB like Rivers, Brady, Brees. Rivers read the defense, stays in the pocket and throw to timing routes. He's not a move out of the pocket and improvise and look for open man out of broken plays. His skillset doesn't fit the West Coast offense.
So if not Whiz then it has to be a promotion from within.

I don't think there is anything wrong with our OC that getting him some better personnel wouldn't fix. The OL and WR are polar opposites on one another. The OL lack quickness and struggle against quick inside slants and games. Best way to help them is with quick passing that gets the ball out of their hands quickly.
But....
The WR are mostly guys who take time to build speed and d their best work on slower developing routes. THey are downfield, 2nd moves types who struggle to get off of press coverage. THey need to be used in 5 step drops and off of play action and do their best work against loose coverage, where they can burn past slower DB.
