Anyone else watch "The Alliance" this past weekend?

I watched parts of a couple games. It was ok.

I didn't watch a whole half or anything either, so I didn't get a good feel of either of the games.

Mike Riley - Mike Martz - Mike Singletary - Dennis Erickson - Rick Neuheisal ... it's like a bad head coaches convention! LOL.

I thought most of the uniforms looked kind of "cartoony"...but I guess being "colorful" is part of how they hope to attract fans.

I liked the replays, where they showed the actual discussion of the call. Game moved pretty fast.

Honestly, I didn't miss it.

Some of the players are pretty good. I thought the QB play was kind of sub par, but when Bercovici and Hackenberg are 2 of your league's 8 starters, it is what it is.

No Blitzing from the secondary, and only 5 pass rushers allowed a time.

That de-helmeting was a vicious hit, for a league that is supposedly focused on "safety".

I also expect the level of qb play play will increase with time. I love the idea of a developmental league and would even support a minors system with feeder teams for nfl rosters much like the minors in mlb just not as deep for obvious reasons.

Guys like Bercovici and Hacken burg could turn into a Krt Warner or Mark Bulger with the support and coaching the league can offer.

And ditto on the bad look of the bercovici hit

I think that would be a great idea too. Have practice squad type guys allocated from NFL teams. It would certainly generate more viewers, I know I would watch more.

Its pretty epic Hoarse. lol Ive had a few people ask me if my family is behind it. We are somewhat well know in this community through my Great Grandfather. Honestly if he or my grandpa were still alive it would be something they would invest in. They were huge Charger/Football fans.
