I think this was to get around his roster bonus of 4.5M. I think him coming back could be in play. Im sure Telseco will let the market dictate his asking price. He may come back at his base salary of 4M. But we wont have to pay him his bonus. Im not sure how teams will value him based on his injury history. I dont think he really ever lived up to his 1st round pick status.
Philon is in a relatively weak DT free agent class. And considered one of the better ones available. We may be using Liugets money to bring him back. We still need to draft a DT imo. Even if Square and Phillon are back. I like square becuase he can play 3T, 5T and 43DE. Or at least he has in the past. I think he actually covered for Bosa while he was out.
But even if all of those guys came back...we are just going sideways. We need a penetrating savage inside. Who can play the run. Bosa is the natural fit there thats on the roster. But i cant see that ever being a long term play for him. They will move him there sometimes.Comment
