I agree the nfl gets this ugly thorn to finally fade away. Kap regressed and his weaknesses were exposed. He just was not effective anymore and his athleticism couldnt buy a completion when his team needed it. Kap had the vision still he was a Superbowl qb that could say whatever and do whatever he wanted without repercussion.....my 14 year old boy is smart as a whip but zero common sense at times and has poor communication methods....same result. Kap needed to reset...it wasnt collusion buddy...you just werent worth the $$ figure he had in his head.

He is lucky he got a check and a Nike ad out of it. He may never get a job in the US based on his actions for some time...that has nothing to do with the NFL.....he poked a sleeping bear....we saw the destruction.

kap go but your mansion on an island in the carribean, invest well and live off the grid. Just dont expect a lot of respect from a lot of people for some time until you are old news.

COLIN KAEPERNICKALL SMILES AFTER NFL SETTLEMENT

        2/16/2019 11:43 AM PST

        42

The settlement is confidential, but Colin Kaepernick sure looks happy the day after striking a deal with the NFL.

Colin posed with his legal team -- led by Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas -- early Saturday morning with a big ol' smile on his face.

There are reports the settlement could be close to $100 million, but so far nobody is saying anything.

As we previously reported ... Colin agreed to end his suit against the NFL, in which he accused team owners and league officials of colluding to keep him off of an NFL roster because of his kneeling demonstration.

Colin filed the suit back in 2017 and deposed some of the most famous and important people in the NFL -- including Jerry Jones and Roger Goodell -- but now that CK has agreed to drop it, the public will likely never know what they said in those depos.

Kap has come under fire from critics like ex-NFL star Larry Johnson who says he is a "sellout" -- because they believed his case against the NFL was more about exposing racism than reaching a fat settlement.

Colin hasn't addressed his critics -- and likely won't -- but his smile speaks for itself.

Did Kaep get the value of his entire next contract?

The fact that he settled makes me think his legal team found no smoking gun, but the NFL probably threw a large sum of money at him just to make sure nothing unexpected happened and that the entire thing goes away.

Basically, the NFL paid them to sign a NDA. Now it goes away quietly.

I think its the opposite. NFL settled because they did have a smokin gun. They have won every other lawsuit brought against them. Dont know how much he got and really dont care. Glad the NFL is held accountable for SOMETHING. I didnt care for the kneeling but to keep him out of the league for it when many others are still playing that kneeled is wrong.
