It's good signing. He's better than Geno.
Tyrod Taylor signed

I would rather have spent a day 4 or day 5 pick on someone in the draft that Rivers could mentor for 2 years before they perhaps take over.

- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

I like this signing. Taylor is an upgrade over Smith and one who could actually give the team a decent chance to win if Rivers ever went down. I am hoping that the team does not waste a draft pick on a QB this year. There is no need with Rivers wanting to play at least two more seasons and Taylor now signed for two seasons.

Didn't this guy lose his job to Peterman in Buf? Then on to the Browns only to be replaced by Mayfield? I get that Lynn likes guys he's familiar with, but nothing to get excited about here and there's likely better vet backups to be had.Life is too short to drink cheap beer

At any rate it gives us a QB we can practice against that can run RPO's.

Taylor has never been "the guy" . Everywhere he goes he's the gap bridge QB, but he has started 45+ games been to a Pro Bowl and has a 89 career rating. Those guys just aren't out there at a reasonable price to hold a clipboard behind a guy who's never missed a start. I like the move.
