      I did lol.
With the signing of Tyrod, I don't think we will be drafting a QB. At least not in the top rounds. Didn't think we would before we signed Tyrod though. Maybe a late rounder to develope for a few years as a backup.

I don't think we will be drafting a a QB this year either. I'm talking about when it comes time to draft a QB that Lynn wants the Lamar Jackson type of QB on his team. That worries me because I don't think Lamar is the type of QB who can lead his team to a superbowl unless he has a strong running game and a great defense.

Agree....I don't think Tyrod comes here to get cut, or to split backup reps if we carry 3 QBs.
The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB, Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

What about Russel Wilson? Just kidding.

The Chargers wont even get close to drafting Murray. He'll be long gone. And I doubt TT would do it anyway. Rivers is an iron man and Murray would impact the dynamic Rivers has going.

With that in mind, it is quite possible that TT could move up to draft a quarterback if he felt that there is a legitimate franchise quarterback in this year's draft class. Not a middle of the pack guy, but a guy that can potentially be a top ten or five quarterback in the league. At that point I could understand it if we moved up because they would get to sit behind Rivers for a year. But conversely I would question the logic because we might as well use our draft capital on strengthening our team and we can look at next year's draft for our future quarterback, and we even now have Tyrod Taylor to fall back on as a bridge quarterback if Rivers gave the nod.

What type of quarterback will our team target to replace Rivers?
The thing is, I don't think there's a QB in the 1st round that's worth trading up for. Or in any round, other than the 6th, if it means simply adding our 7th.

If there's anyone we trade up for, perhaps in next year's draft. I hear that Trevor Lawrence kid is pretty good.

If we did, then it means bye-bye Jones provided he beats him out in camp. Nothing about CP's game instills any confidence that'll he become a bona fide QB1.

Except he will still have another year before being eligible.

I'm not putting the possibility of trading up for Murry out of reach.
giving Tyrod Taylor that much money on day one of free agency reeks of an unexpected announcement as mentioned above (Rivers putting in a season notice)
Taylor could be brought in here to mentor his second first-round OU quarterback in as many seasons.
