I liked Thornhill a bit more, and I am a total Rapp homer...but Adderley was right there with them in my esteem...mostly for his ball skills and playmaking ability...good range...getting him here in the second, very good value...Adderley is a good pick. The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...
Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB, Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

For years I have obsessed on Oline replenishment, and been deflated.
Since I can tell you exactly when-- the day Dielman retired. We do not play modern football.

Best scheme fit might be a better way of putting it.
The one thing I don't like about our defensive scheme is that the FS spot is very hard to fill. Getting Adderley gives us a guy who fits the position nicely. Ideal fit as a single high FS, who has great range. He fills the run nicely. He can cover deep and underneath. He does take some bad angles sometimes but makes up for it by having good speed and catching up. I really like that he is a wrap-up tackler and not one of these guys who wildly throws his body around and is a shitty tackler (Raider guy Abrams is one like that). He can play down in the box some, so we can move James around a bit to get mismatches. He can also matchup man to man in blitz coverages. He seems like the perfect compliment to James.
The big knock on his is the consistency of his reads, and that goes back to him only playing S for one season. He spent most of his time as a LCB, and can probably play that in a zone heavy scheme like ours. But his best position should be FS, and I think he is going to need some time to keep learning the position and get up to speed in the NFL, but he should hold the position for years, and be the ideal complement to DJ.
