Drafted Raheem Moore at 45. Moore was awful his last year in college. He had one good college season but seems it was more luck than skill.
That same draft he picked Orlando Franklin. He was Meh for them and bad for us.
Elway seems to be better with signing vets though Keenum wasn't good.
I'm not a big fan of Lock either so his string of picking bad QBs early can continue.
Manning was his best move by far.Last edited by Boltjolt; 05-12-2019, 03:52 PM.11 Brock Bowers TE - Georgia

Garett Bolles: +1
*DeMarcus Walker: -2*
Carlos Henderson: -4
Brendan Langley: -2*
Jake Butt: 0
Isaiah McKenzie: 0
De'Angelo Henderson: 0
Chad Kelly: 0
Total: -7
I won't be going over 2017 draft classes in my comparisons between Elway and others who make personnel decisions. However, I wanted to grade this class for additional perspective.
At this point, only Garett Bolles looks like he will have a chance to live up to expectations for the round in which he was taken -- but that will mean he needs to play well enough to merit an extension beyond his rookie deal.
But it's too late for Carlos Henderson, who goes down as another draft bust for Elway. And it's not looking good for DeMarcus Walker, who has yet to crack the starting lineup.
Perhaps Brendan Langley can make up ground if he catches on at wide receiver. But until then, we are looking at a draft class with four players taken in the first two days in which one is already a bust and the others are, at this time, dragging down Elway's draft score.
There are a lot of misconceptions about John Elway as a drafter. The time has come to go back and do the research to grade Elway's draft resume.
