    The Offense

IMO is pretty loaded with talent. I think we have a group of guys that can do whatever they want on offense. Strike fast...control the clock...run...pass etc. Whatever we want to do. Im really excited about the offense this year. I think we will be even better than last year.

Keep our fingers crossed that they stay healthy. I do like our offensive depth on the OL and RB this year. The lack of it last year hurt us in that game against Denver.

Red zone concerns me a little but I realize we have not seen much of the first team at all.

        About half the first quarter.

Red zone is still very concerning. Matthews still doesn't show any vision there. We also for some stupid reason continue to allow penetration by the guards in short yardage. If we are going to run it, Gates needs to cede way to Green for blocking purposes. He simply can't block the edge to save his life.

Our offense looks way better than it did this time last year. Those things will come. We just look like we are more gelled. We clearly have room to grow but in the very limited amount the starters have been on the field...less than a quarter....they look like they are on there way to being one of the leagues best.

I think our OL run blocking isnt quite there yet subbng guys in so much and will take a few weeks to get there.

We have a lot of talent on the O. Vets and young depth. Comes down to OL play for how effective we can be. We protect Rivers and we can play with pretty much anybody.

Our D today looked a lot stronger than last week. Legiut was dominant....just disruptive. I hope he can do that all game every game. Once we field all our starters i think pags will have some wrinkles to get to qbs and disguise to confuse. Arizona will be a test...hold Fitz to under 100 and i think we can beat them and their solid D. Watched them a bit earlier and they had some mistakes on offense and Cincy took advantage of it.

Short yardage is awful. Just awful. Not just in the redzone, either. I'd rather see 3rd and long, then 3rd and 1 at this point. Porkchop was beaten badly on one of those short yardage plays.

What I don't get at all is that in short yardage situations, they seem to go OT left almost always. Why - when you have a road grader like Fluker on the right?!

The short yardage try with Brown was to the right and Porkchop got beat, IIRC.
