So I guess Royal is out of the doghouse now

I know a lot of us were hard on him after what was almost a lazy performance in the opener against AZ.

    Since then though....nails. Stay healthy.

He owed rage team one for that, and he delivered.

Yes. He played well last year too despite injuries. Week one rust, but it did probably cost us the game.

Not exclussively though. A lot of guys had their fair share of oh shit moements vs the Cards. The run blocking, dropped passes, the missed tackles, the loss of leverage and sloppy pass drops in pass coverage, and the missed sacks.... Plenty of guys looked sloppy vs Az.

The only real difference so far is that we are getting a little better every week. Everyone still has a ways to go, but they are making some progress in most areas. They just have to keep it up.

He was brutal that game but has obviously bounced back. I think he is benefiting from Gates strong early showing. We have some weapons on offense.

Oh, no no doubt. There were like 6 guys who just had to make par for us to win that game. Lot's of blame to go around, but Royal was near the top.

Royal was definitely in the dog house. He's firmly out of it now. I do like that they have stopped running him over the middle so much.

We could be making a run at an undefeated season and NFL history if not for Royal.
                    Prediction:
                    Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

The person at fault for that first loss was Fleet. He resurrected an old game day thread instead of creating a new one.

Last season Royal dropped a first down pass that would have sealed the game against Houston. Then he went off.

                        Seems like a repeat performance.
