Gone by the wayside are some of the earlier critiques. Back in May, when Mueller started his work, Trump partisans could still argue with a straight face that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, there was no evidence of collusion, and there would never be any evidence of collusion. Even if it eventually emerges that there was no criminal act involving collusion, it has become impossible to claim that the special counsel’s probe is purely a fishing expedition.
    Prediction:
    Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

lol. "Gone by the wayside" is ANY talk of collusion by the Trump transition team and the Democrat media talking points have now centered on trying to find some actual Obstruction Of Justice that is more than twisting a Trump Tweet's meaning or he said/she said from opinions by Comey or others. Pleadings by Flynn and other underlings have not involved collusion- at-all. What HAS Been indisputably proven is actual Collusion between Clinton, Fusion GPS, Democrat Party and Russian operatives.

After everything that's come out now regarding bias against Trump within the FBI and the lengths they went to covering up Clinton's criminal acts and the fact Mueller was in charge of the FBI then and his extensive relationship with Comey and the composition of his 100% Clinton supporting 17 staff lawyers- there's no mistaking Mueller is unfit to be running this investigation from the get-go.The facts don't lie, he's horribly compromised and biased against Trump by his acts and associations and hires. If he had ANY integrity whatsoever he would step aside- but then the silent coup would be dead and that simply can't be allowed!

So is this memo going to confirm what we’ve known all along, that the FISA warrant was based on a manufactured dossier the Clinton campaign paid for so that the previous DOJ could spy on the Trump campaign and relay the intelligence to the Clinton campaign?

For a woman who was supposedly a shoe-in, their internal polls must have been telling them otherwise early on. She couldn’t campaign very much because of her health issues, so they resorted to cheating (shocker).

Should be interesting in five days.

My fear is that there are people that think exposing dirty laundry will cause the public to mistrust the government, and that quashing the info is in the best interest of the U.S.

Politics aside, it is more important that government officials, especially those who are non-elected, are held accountable if they misuse the powers of the government to their own ends. If the memo leads to the very top of the government, so be it. Watergate could be dwarfed by this scandal, heads should roll.

there's an old saying the fish rots from the head. Seems we have some entrenched career people at the top of important government institutions who think they are above the laws they are sworn to uphold and their agendas are all that matters. There is an effort underway to clean house at the FBI and DOJ to get rid of these people, and of course a bunch of people pushing back because the truth is very damaging to them when exposed. These are supposed to be unbiased and the best of the best America has to offer to maintain the people's trust in these agencies doing their jobs as intended, but it looks like a house cleaning is indeed needed to get rid of the bad actors and restore public confidence (if possible).

Not just the DOJ, but certain posts in the IC were involved as well. I think Clapper and Brennan are suspect as well. There is a certain point in a government career where your politics is more important than your competence and integrity. Guys like Comey have negotiated this perfectly through different administrations, but ultimately they are more for themselves than the people they serve.

FBI Director Wray sees the memo, and Deputy Director McCabe is removed, immediately on terminal leave before his retirement date. I wonder why?

The House Intel committee votes to release the memo to the public, and POTUS has 5 days to hold it back if there might be national security concerns (i.e. sources and methods). On the other side, the Democrats have their own memo, thrown together hastily, but won't be released, until it is reviewed by the rest of the house in the same setting as the previous memo.

supposedly the new urgency to remove him was fallout from his handling of Clinton "matter", which is not to be confused with an actual investigation.

I do want to see the 'response' summary from Schiff/Pelosi, because I think it will be entertaining reading, much like watching Baghdad Bob. It will probably more to throw smoke over the facts, implying influences that aren't actually there. Bring on the spotlight, the roaches scramble.

As far as McCabe sitting on information, if true, that is actual "obstruction". The upcoming IG report can't be spun to be a partisan document. I'm not sure how they can pull his pension at this point (maybe like they do disgraced General or Flag Officers), but if they do, true justice prevails.

Add current FBI Director Wray to the list with Clapper and Brennan

The “F.B.I. was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it,” Mr. Wray said in a statement. “As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.”

Mr. Wray had strongly objected to the move to release the memo and was allowed to review it only on Sunday

                            Tonight or tomorrow probably.

FBI told some Congressman on the radio there were no inaccuracies in the memo, yet protested its release. If true, then all the more reason to release it.

.@DevinNunes should be ashamed of himself. He's not the Chair of the House Intel Committee. He's the Chair of Trump's re election campaign. Release the memo if you want, but be honest about what it is: A Republican written political document.

The way everyone is freaking out about this, I fully expect a court injunction to bury it indefinitely and a gag order on anyone who’s seen it.

Probably Friday, COB. Word is that nothing on the document is factually false, but the minority are spinning the omissions hard, but I'm thinking that the omissions could have been background info offered in addition to pee dossier that no one denies (e.g. Carter Page had been in Russia for business reasons). There supposedly are intelligence officials that are backing up the FBI to not release the memo for their reasons. The doomsday scenario is that there would be so many senior officials involved that a clean-out would jeopardize the "faith" in the FBI and the IC could perform their function, but I suspect there is the normal ass-covering in progress.

I really doubt that the memo is going to be doomsday, but will be unflattering on how much weight was put behind the pee dossier for FISA warrants, and that "smart" guys fell for it.... maybe not as badly as the IC did with WMD in Sadaam's Iraq.
