RIP Sir George Martin, 90, producer and "Fifth Beatle". He 'discovered' them, suggested that they replace Pete Best with Ringo... and they took off.

Wow. Bummer. First concert I ever went to was ELP at the Anaheim convention center. Just a HS kid back in the early 70s. I was never the same after that concert.

Welcome back my friends for a little Brain Salad Surgery.

Wow, that sucks. I'm glad he lived that long though. I didn't know he was that old. I guess it makes sense considering he played a million years before I was born. But maybe I haven't seen him on TV recently, so, in my mind, he doesn't seem old. But, even then, I know I've seen him within the last 10 years. At no time did he look in his 80s. Late 60s maybe. He seemed like a rad dude.

                      Is Bob Uecker still alive?

Man, this has been a tough year on famous people.

RIP Garry Shandling, 66. TMZ says massive heart attack. I liked his comedy...and the Larry Sanders show.
