I'm starting to get f'n annoyed. Feels like jk is sacrificing 2014 to build up experience for 2018. I cannot be convinced that LD isn't one of the top 23 Americans playing today. Yedlin? Green? Wondo over LD?

Best place I've found in LA County is Lucky Baldwins in Pasadena. I'll probably watch most at The Black Watch in Upland, which is closer to me.

Yedlin is a fullback so him making the team really had nothing to do with Landon. Wondolowski is the player that took the spot from Landon. I personally think it is only a little bit surprising. Landon hasn't been the same player internationally he once was for a while. He also hasn't been as effective for the Galaxy lately either. I am not the biggest fan of Wondolowski but he has been scoring goals both for the US and in MLS. I'm sure it was a hard decision and close call between the two but in the end Klinsmann must have liked the goals Wondo has been scoring.

Yedlin is a fullback, but his form hasn't been WC worthy. Will he even get any action? I think carrying 5 forwards was possible. I also think green is the one that took the spot from Donovan. Green was in the midfield pool while Donovan grouped with the forwards. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that Klinsmann was able to get green to commit, but I hate this decision to leave LD Off the squad. Again, I cannot believe that Donovan couldn't be more useful as a sub than most of the guys, including the starters. Took a tiny bit of the fun out this, ld deserved to go out on his own terms.

I love what LD has done for soccer in the US. But, we are thinking of this with too much emotion. The truth is LD, great as he has been, is probably on the downside of his career. Klinnsman has an idea of what he is trying to get done, and he is the one who knows what players he needs.

As awesome as it would be to see him out there again, we also want to make sure this isn't like trotting out Johnny U when he was finished just because he's Johnny U when there's somebody better behind him on the bench.
